Welcome to A Life Examined

What is the examined life? A life worth living! As I look at the road ahead, I take all the baggage from the past and use it as experience - the pain and the passion, the sorrow and the joy - allowing it to carve wisdom into my mind and hope into my spirit.
There is no experience that can't be useful to me at some point in my life. There is no lesson learned that cannot make a contribution to the future.
A tiny drop of water is a part of the ocean. A tiny speck in the night sky is a ginormous star in the distance. It all depends on perspective.
So, this examined life is to offer reflections in the hope of discussing things which are of value to myself and to others.
Love, Sarah

What others say about FREE TO BE

FREE TO BE book reviews and comments most gratefully received.

Review:
This book is very helpful for those struggling with their identity and their relationships with others. Sarah writes from her personal experiences and shares the lessons she has learned over a lifetime with her readers. She also gives practical, Christ-centered ways to overcome emotional insecurity and realize God's wonderful love which brings total freedom. Highly recommended!

Finished your book it was very uplifting and motivating to me as a woman, in this very demanding world we live in. I came away having greater feeling of faith and hope and I plan to reflect back to your book whenever a time I need some uplifting words of wisdom!!

Review:
Free to Be is very clear, accessible, and encouraging. What I like best is that it starts and ends with Sarah's own story; she speaks from experience. Becoming the person God made us to be is a life's work, and this book helps us become partners with God in this important process.

Review:
Free To Be is a great resource for anyone seeking to work through issues of the heart. Sarah opens up about her own journey, not to draw attention to herself but to show God's goodness in bringing her to where she is today. She provides several images and personal stories that people will find helpful and insightful. Thanks Sarah for being willing to be open and honest. Your vulnerability will no doubt help many people set their feet on a sure foundation!
